Introduction

— to me && my blog.


I am the owner of this blog, S. Lyu is my name.


Right at this moment (Jan, 2016), I am:

  • A sophomore student. Enrolled in a low-ranked college in suburban Beijing in 2014, after I graduated from a top high school in China and then screwed up the College Entrance Examination.
  • An undergraduate major in electronic engineering. 「circuit-analysis」,「Analog」,「Digital」,「MSP430」… words like these will appear in my posts as tags later.
  • A music lover. I have played piano for the high school chorus and also served as the bassist for our rock band “Groceries”. I would like to share my interest and newly acquired skills with you here.

As for me, this blog is:

  • A platform to share knowledge and values. Of course this is what a web log should be.
  • An outlet to speak out my feelings. My surrounding people are quite disparate from those who I used to study with. Most of them are quite kindhearted and easygoing while they have a much lower career expectation. I simply want to do something more for my individual development.

Building a blog can be really easy if you choose to use weebly, blogger or some other blog builders, but I choose to build this blog with Github pages and hexo because it really looks cool to have my own domain and I am free to set my site whatever I like it to be. Also, my friend Polaris Chen‘s site (built with Github pages and jekyll) was a motivator for me to build my own site in this way.
